I filed my paperwork today with the Marion County Supervisor of Elections Office. The staff was exceptional, especially Kim Hankemeyer who helped me file my papers and introduced me to our Supervisor of Elections, Wesley Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox gave me my first Candidate Petition and now I only need 2,430 more.
As part of the filing process, I designated my Campaign Treasurer, Henry Franco, an accountant with Getsee and Demeola CPA. He is a great friend of mine and will do an excellent job as my treasurer. Thank you, Henry for volunteering your time and skills to my campaign.
Additionally, I have nearly completed my website today. I plan on a few tweaks and adding a few images, but it does provide the message I am trying to communicate to the people of Marion County.
I am excited to be on this journey and look forward to the campaign process.
I have worked at the Marion County Property Appraisers Office for 27 years, 25 of them with Lee Herbst. Lee wrote our appraisal program for our office and saved the Marion County millions of dollars. Lee is extremely intelligent and a very humble man. He continues to upgrade our system which continues to be a top notch program. Lee always is very helpful and very well respected by all employees of our office. Lee is not a politician but someone who has made the Marion County Property Appraiser Office his life. He cares deeply for the employees, their families and the Tax payers. I’ve known Lee since 1988 through bowling here in Marion County and he is a first class guy. I fully support him and know Marion County would be blessed if he was allowed to serve you.
